CRM for general contractors

The whole job, on one screen.

Plumbline is the project CRM built for builders: schedule crews on a timeline, track change orders against the contract, keep inspections on the calendar, and bill what you've earned — without the spreadsheet.

What it does

Built around how a job actually runs

Estimate, contract, permit, build, punch, close out. Plumbline follows that sequence instead of asking you to bend your process to a generic sales pipeline.

Timeline scheduling

See every project as a bar across the month. Drag one to a new start date and its whole duration moves with it. Switch to a month grid or a crew-by-week view when that's the better question.

Change orders that update the contract

Raise a change order with the cost and the schedule impact. Approve it and the project's revised contract value and end date update on the spot — no reconciling later.

Inspections and permits

Permit numbers and inspectors live on the job site. Inspections sit on the calendar and surface on the overview when they slip, so nothing waits on a sign-off you forgot to book.

Field paperwork with signatures

Daily reports, safety walks, punch lists and certificates of completion are filled on a phone, pre-loaded with what the office already knows, and signed on the glass.

Billing against the contract

Every live project shows billed-to-date against its revised contract. Invoices carry aging so you know which client to call before the month closes.

Site photos on the job record

Progress photos go straight onto the project from the truck. Drop them in, they're resized and filed, and they're there when the client asks what happened in week three.

How it works

Three moves, then it runs itself

Load your projects and clients

Import from a spreadsheet or add them by hand. Each job site keeps its address, access notes, permit number and inspector in one place.

Put the work on the timeline

Give each project a start and a duration and assign a super. The overview, crew load and billing views all read from the same schedule.

Run the job from the field

Crews log daily reports and photos, raise change orders when conditions change, and sign the client off at punch and completion.

Change orders

Approve it once. The contract follows.

Unforeseen conditions, client requests, code requirements — every change order records the reason, the cost and the days it adds. Approval writes straight through to the project's revised contract value and end date, and the change shows up in billing.

  • Pending, approved and rejected totals on the overview
  • Schedule impact pushes the timeline bar automatically
  • Authorization form with the client's signature
Field paperwork

The daily report, filled in before the crew gets there.

Every form opens with the client, the address, the job reference and today's date already in it. The super adds the weather, the headcount and what got done, the client signs on the phone, and it's filed against the project the moment it's saved.

  • Daily field report, safety inspection, punch list sign-off
  • Change order authorization and certificate of completion
  • Drafts save; signed forms lock

We used to find out a project was over budget when the accountant told us. Now the super sees billed-against-contract on the same screen he schedules from, and the change order gets raised the day the ledge shows up.

Questions

Things builders ask first

Does it work on a phone, on site, with bad signal?

Yes. The app is a lightweight web application that keeps working when the connection drops; forms, photos and notes save locally and sync when you're back in range. Nothing needs installing from an app store.

Can I get my data out?

Every table exports to CSV in one click — projects, clients and invoices — and the demo you're looking at does exactly that. There is no lock-in.

How do change orders affect the contract value?

Approving a change order adds its amount to the project's revised contract and extends the end date by its schedule impact. Rejected change orders are kept for the record but don't touch the numbers.

What's in the demo?

A fictional general contractor, Northbeam Construction, with 21 projects across six stages, seven change orders, a month of inspections and a live billing ledger. Drag things around, sign a form, upload a photo — it's all saved in your browser and you can reset it any time.

Is there a per-user fee?

No. Plans are per company. Add every super, carpenter and office admin who needs to see the schedule.
